The Association québécoise de la maladie de Lyme

The Association québécoise de la maladie de Lyme (AQML) was founded in November 2013 and is a non-profit organization recognized as a charitable organization. In full growth, the AQML strives to raise awareness about Lyme disease—with or without persistent symptoms—and its coinfections across Quebec, support those affected, and promote greater recognition for their needs among all stakeholders.

Our mission

The mission of the AQML is to educate and raise awareness among the population, professionals, and authorities about Lyme disease and its co-infections, with or without persistent symptoms. The organization promotes access to prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and support services at every stage of a person’s journey with the disease.

The AQML also provides direct support to those affected by offering information, listening, guidance, and psychosocial support to break isolation and improve their quality of life.

Your support is important

Support our mission

By donating, you directly support AQML’s mission. Your contributions help fund our awareness campaigns, our information and support services, our prevention resources, and our advocacy efforts with government agencies. You also contribute to strengthening our psychosocial support for those affected and their loved ones.

Lyme disease is now the most common vector-borne disease in North America, and its presence is growing steadily in Quebec.

We issue official tax receipts for all donations of $20 or more.

  • Implement a member support program that promotes listening, mutual support, and reducing isolation.

Promoting recognition
