Press conference at the National Assembly regarding the petition

Yesterday was a significant day for the Lyme disease cause at the National Assembly of Quebec, where the Association québécoise de la maladie de Lyme, several of its members, and individuals affected by the disease held a press conference with Parti Québécois MPs Sylvain Pagé and Sylvain Roy. Immediately following our public statement, Ministers Charlebois, Barrette, and Blanchette were confronted by journalists from the Assembly and held their own press conference—an unusual occurrence that indicates we made an impact. They chose to merely reiterate the dogmatic position adopted by medical authorities for years, which perpetuates the inadequate recognition of the disease. The AQML petition on Lyme disease was then submitted by Mr. Sylvain Pagé, the MP for Labelle, who supports our demands. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the MPs who stand by us, the individuals affected who attended the press conference, those who made presentations and gave interviews afterward, and all those who supported us both directly and indirectly!
