JOB DESCRIPTION

Function summary

Reporting to AQML’s General Management, the main duties of the Support and Training Coordinator are to:

Support component

  • Respond to various requests for ongoing support;
  • Moderate and lead the Facebook support group;
  • Create and distribute a toolkit on the ins and outs of Lyme disease and its co-infections;
  • Acting as a sentinel for suicide prevention;
  • Develop and implement a support service for care outside Quebec.

Training component

  • Provide prevention training for at-risk populations;
  • Collaborate in the creation and execution of the communication plan.
Required qualifications
Education: – Bachelor’s degree in a helping field, such as social work, psychology, psycho-education, health care, etc.

* Two years of relevant experience in a job of equivalent level will be recognized as equivalent to one year of study up to a bachelor’s degree, starting with a college diploma.

– A minimum of three years’ experience in helping people.
– Knowledge of Lyme disease and its co-infections is an asset.

Skills :
– Proficiency in the Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook);
– Fluent in written and spoken French and English;
– Ability to popularize information and make presentations in front of an audience;
– Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work;
– Possess a driver’s license and a car.

– Demonstrate initiative and autonomy;
– Ability to adapt;
– Demonstrate a caring attitude and availability to members and partners;
– Be empathetic and sensitive to the cause of Lyme disease and its impact on the population;
– Be responsible, versatile and a team player.
